The expert team at SC Magazine put Halo through its paces breaking down their rating according to features, documentation, value, performance, support, and ease of use.
We’re pleased to say we passed with flying colors, but we prefer the way editor Peter Stephenson put it: Halo is a “well thought-out tool and, if you are looking for out-of-the-box compliance capabilities, this one demands your attention.”
Stephenson called out Halo’s ease of use as a winning feature, and specifically for its automation surrounding security policies. He also noted that the three fundamental tasks that Halo performs, (reduction of software attack, reduction of network attack and monitoring for compromise) are swiftly done in tandem within private clouds and data centers such as Microsoft, VMware and OpenStack, along with public clouds including Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure, while also working with third-party vendors such as Chef and Puppet. In other words: Halo is highly agile.
Stephenson found Halo’s policies to be easy to edit but highlighted that many of our out-of-the-box policies can be used as-is.
This five-star review serves as a reminder to all of us at CloudPassage to continue to strive for excellence and agility at the highest level; and were excited to continue to bring this to our customers.
